So, it has been awhile....

This summer has been a little bit crazy. We have been busy and I just haven't taken the time to keep up a blog. On top of that cute little Charlie takes a lot of my time during the day. He is such a delight to me.  Now we have another little one on the way, due to arrive March 8, 2014.  Yay!

I thought I would take a minute to post some pictures that will catch us up...hopefully!

First, here is Charlie at 2-months-old doing his tummy time. This wasn't one of his favorite things to do.  Then I had to include a picture of him in his "love bandit" onesie.  Such a cutie! He has stolen his parent's hearts.

Next, Charlie got a picture with his cousin Kaden at his baptism.  Kaden was dressed in his white clothes and Charlie was in his little white blessing outfit.  It was a special day.  Unfortunately, this was the least blurry picture out of all we took that day.  Still, a picture is worth a thousand words.

A long day for a baby!

Then towards the end of May we took our very first Hepworth family vacation!  So fun! We went to Dillon and Virginia City, Montana. I had been there before with my parents.  I was so excited to take Riley.  Fortunately, he loved it! We got a little cabin in Dillon and then drove to Virginia City to explore the old mining town. It was the first day of the season so there was plenty to see. Charlie was a very good sport. He handled the car ride very well and also slept better then he would have at home. (I guess we tired him out!) All in all we had a good time and will enjoy going again.

Charlie in the "Snuggly" with dad. Riley loved it!

Charlie on the bed in our cabin.

A cozy cabin. Don't look at all of our stuff!

My handsome man!

Oh no! Riley got the camera!

Getting ready for a nap with Daddy! Charlie is about
3-months-old in these pictures.

I love this little guy!

Oh no! Not the car seat again!

The first of June we took a family history oriented trip down to Salt Lake City.  We went and visited my Grandpa Van Duren and Via.  While there we made sure that Charlie got a picture with each of them for his own Book of Remembrance. We also got pictures of Grandpa's wooden shoes. I remember these from when I was young and we would go to visit my Grandma and Grandpa.  It was fun to learn the story of how Grandpa got them. When we were done at Grandpa's we went down to the Family History Library in Salt Lake to meet a relative and learn more about our heritage. Some of these pictures are from the Joseph Smith Memorial Building.

Charlie looks a little worried! Must be the dolls!

Self-portrait with Daddy!

Now of course I have to add pictures of bath time!  At least he is being modest!

July 12th we got to go a park in North Logan where they were holding the annual "Relay for Life". Riley, Charlie and I got to see Dad in his "I am Hope" t-shirt as he and mom walked in the survivor portion of the walk.  It is a touching scene to see all of these individuals who have survived cancer be able to celebrate life with their families through this walk.  My dad is my hero. I am so glad that my little family was able to be there to see him.

Charlie is 4-months-old in this picture. Lucky he could be with his Grandpa!

This is the best message! It is true!

Now, some random pictures of Charlie!

Falling asleep on Great-Grandma Tucker. So cute!

Sleepy head!

Practicing rolling around while playing with Horton!

Rice cereal for the first time...

Total disgust!

Well, maybe it is okay!

Charlie at 5-months-old.

And Charlie today, at 6-months-old. What a big boy!

I think that will wrap it up for now. I still need to post about the Martin Harris Pageant which took up a lot of our time and energy this summer. That post will include professional photographs...maybe some day I will be a better photographer. Oh well!
